Dimebon Disappoints in Phase 3 Trial

Medivation has reported that the company's experimental Alzheimer's drug Dimebon failed in a Phase 3 trial. Though it failed the Alzheimer's trial, the drug is still being investigated for Huntington's disease, and given its purported mechanism of action, Dimebon also has therapeutic implications for ALS.
