ALS TDI 7th Annual Leadership Summit 2011

Advances in Disease Modeling for ALS and FTD Workshop Summary:

The generation of multiple TDP-43 and FUS based animal models has rapidly followed the identification of a role for these RNA binding proteins in ALS and FTD. At a meeting last November, organized and funded by NINDS and ALSA, researchers gathered to share their latest knowledge on the phenotypes of these yeast, roundworm, fly, zebrafish, and rodent models and brainstorm together on how these emerging models may quickly and efficiently be used for translational research.
